1. Purpose of processing
The Belgian Members Firms (together the Controllers) of the PwC network (“PwC”) will process your personal data in order to establish an Alumni network. The data that you share with us, can be used for the following purposes (i) PwC Alumni Network activities, including events, developments and publications and otherwise using such data in relation to the PwC Belgium Alumni Network; and (ii) to update the PwC Networks Client Relationship Management database and (iii) send you PwC publications and material which may be of interest.

2. Legal ground
We will process your personal data for the legitimate interest of PwC to create an alumni network and to keep you in touch with PwC. Through the various PwC alumni programmes around the world, you can find out about our latest services and offerings as well as about alumni news and events.
We believe that it is beneficial for you and your professional career to be part of the PwC Alumni Network. You are able to establish a network of people who share the same interests which might lead to new opportunities and will help you to stay on top of your game.
You will be given the option to unsubscribe from any communications you do not wish to receive. You may also wish to read our general online privacy statement that provides further information about how we use personal information.
3. Following information may be collect from you by the Controller, PricewaterhouseCoopers Belgium bcvba:
Identification and communication data: In order to identify you, we need to process information like your name, private and/or business email address, home address, previous and current employer and business title, language, your PwC history (period at PwC and department), employer history and job summary on your LinkedIn profile.
4. Transfer of your data
PwC member firms do not sell or otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties for the purpose of allowing them to market their products and services to you. Under no circumstances will the information held about you through the PwC Alumni Network be given to third parties for marketing purposes.
Sharing your data via this platform also means that you can stay in touch with former colleagues if you would like to do so. At any time you can change your profile settings.
We use third parties to support us in providing our services and to help provide, run and manage our internal IT systems. For example, providers of information technology, cloud based software as a service providers, identity management, website hosting and management, data analysis, data back-up, security and storage services. The servers powering and facilitating that cloud infrastructure are located in secure data centres around the world, and personal data may be stored in any one of them. PwC processes the data for the duration of the network relation.
The data processed are, in principle, erased twenty four months after the end of the work relation.
6. Data subject rights
You have the following rights towards PwC for this processing activity:
The right of access to and rectification of your personal data processed in relation to this processing activity by PwC;
The right to erase (right to be forgotten);
The right to restrict data processed by PwC to the extent this request is compatible with the purposes of processing;
The right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority;
The right to object to the processing of your personal data.
